All drafted players on their first contract are eligible for a one-year team option. For first round draft picks, this amount will follow the rookie scale and, unless I'm later corrected, looks like this every season:

For second round picks, the team option will simply be for another year on the minimum. Second round picks are eligible for this team option regardless of whether the amount of guaranteed years on their original contract.
The team option can only be extended in the final year of the player's rookie contract. Please post in this thread any and all rookie team options you'd like to extend. Note, the trade deadline sim is the last sim you have the opportunity to decide on rookie team options.
Also, please note that should you decline to pick up a fourth year team option, you are essentially resigning to being done with that player on your team. You cannot make him an RFA, and you cannot re-sign him in the off-season when he becomes a free agent.

Got a question
So I'm under the assumption rookie contracts are 3Y with a 1Y team option. The rule is that the option can be extended during the last year of the contract.
Jason Kidd was drafted in 1994 but he is still under contract for this upcoming season, his 4th season.
Simple question now, did the CPU extend his team option before I took over the team?
