My 1st gripe would be Peja Stojakovic, in his 'peak' year, he shot 40% from 3, the next year he shot 44, doesn't that deserve A-?

He's fringe on both sides, but I bumped him to A- as well as giving him a bump to B- inside and C+ defense. In general, it's pretty rare to get an A- (or higher) outside rating with this ratings generator.

Ben Wallace, 4 time DPOY, averaged 3.5 BPG deserved A defense I think. Maybe more like C+ Inside because he never averaged a lot of points

DISCLAIMER: i am total newbie to bball sim. i am excited for lottery and saw an announcement regarding participation in this thread. so here's my couple pennies:
i didnt think that A+ was a grade, figured maybe A was the highest and some of the A- ratings would bump to A through sim/development.
then i saw Steve Nash's HAND! (which, i would agree with: All-Time Legend)
if that's the case, tho, i would have to gripe:
Kobe's IN should be A+ (or whatever MJ, LeBron, Durantula and Harden will be). Kobe's OUT should be B+. i'd knock his HAND to B+ and his REB to C-
Ray Allen's OUT should be A+ (unless Steph will get the only A+ in league history. but before him, TBE was Jeaus Shuttlesworth)
Jermaine O'Neal REB at least a B, if not B+ (or whatever makes him a nightly 20/10 guy for a handful of seasons)
everything about Derek Fisher screams C+ to me. yeah he sunk a few open looks from beyond the arc, but that's because he was the 4th or 5th option at any given moment
finally, i agree with what's posted before mine
thanks for hearing me out! i'm stoked for this league

Everything I was going to gripe about pretty much covered...
Except maybe Marbury ...B B in my opinion (current B B-)...

Only really a couple of things I'd change. Jermaine O'Neal seems like his rebounding could use a boost to a high B or even a B+. I'd drop Ben Wallace inside down to C+ aswell.
Outside of that would maybe up Erick Dampier defense to a low B, and up Malik Rose inside to a low B-.

I think you could boost D Fish’s handle to a B -. I’d bump Ben Wallace defense to at least an A. He was an all time great post defender. I’d put Iverson outside rating to a B-. Would raise Jermaine O’Neal’s rebound to a B. Great job on Dampier. I believe Shuttlesworth outside should be an A flat at least. He’s a top 5 shooter ever imo. I don’t know what to raise but I feel peak Big Z should be better than his ratings. Those don’t look like the ratings of a guy who made the all star game a few times.

It’s been a while, but remember outside is more heavily weighted with Jump shot. AI had a buttery smooth J and was a very good free throw shooter.

I think Cambys defense could maybe be bumped up to an A. Also maybe bump big z's inside up to a c+ and drop his outside down to an b-.

Maybe more like C+ Inside because he never averaged a lot of points I upped his defense slightly, but I believe it's still an A-. He has the highest rating of everybody made so far. As for his inside, it's being carried by his strength and jumping. His actual Inside Scoring rating is not particularly high.

For example, I don't think you'll see anybody with an A+ outside at any point. Curry would definitely warrant at least an A, but to get to the A+ territory takes a huge rating bump. I'm fine with Ray Allen at A- here. As for Kobe, I'm good with him at A- / B. He was never the three-point shooter that would warrant anything more than a B. I upped JO's rebounding a smidge, can't see the letter grade right now but it was a very modest bump. Good call on Fisher. I lowered his outside a good bit -- I think he might still be a low B+ though. Thanks for all the gripes.

Outside of that would maybe up Erick Dampier defense to a low B, and up Malik Rose inside to a low B-. Already addressed Wallace and O'Neal above. More specifically about O'Neal, my main hold up is that his only strong seasons as an offensive rebounder came when he was a role player in Portland, and the JO we saw make all-star games in Indiana dropped mightily in this regard. He still has a very good defensive rebounding rating and I have little doubt he'll average around 10 per game. I'm fine with Dampier as a B- defense -- he has good ratings in the areas you'd expect him to still. Upped Malik Rose defense to a B- too. Thanks!

Those don’t look like the ratings of a guy who made the all star game a few times. - I gave Fisher a very modest passing boost but his handle grade is still a C+. The grade is mostly driven by passing and we know he wasn't really much of a playmaker at the PG position. - Already addressed Wallace's defense, O'Neal's rebounding, and Allen's outside above. - I agree Ilgauskas looks a bit pedestrian, but I just don't know where to upgrade him. He was not a great defender due to lack of foot speed (partially caused by the injuries early in his career, but this is a huge "what if"). He was a great offensive rebounder but not a great defensive rebounder, so his rebounding falls in the average range too. I'll think about him some more. With Iverson, his inside scoring is juiced about as high as you can get to make up for the lack of outside shot. If you look at his numbers, yes he put up decent (albeit still very inefficient) percentages from 16 feet to 3pt range, but look at his percentages from 10-16 feet as well and they're much less pretty. Both factor in here, and it's part of why Iverson's Jump Shot rating isn't high enough to carry his lower three-point rating higher than a C+.

I think Cambys defense could maybe be bumped up to an A. Also maybe bump big z's inside up to a c+ and drop his outside down to an b-. I'm definitely fine with Camby at an A- if the other guys like Wallace, Duncan, etc. are also at A-. I think you may have misread Ilgauskas' ratings as he's a B inside and C outside.
