TSFBL II will be using a partial waivers system, instead of full waivers (which was used in TSFBL I).
General Rules:
- All releases must be posted in their own topic with the player's name in the title.
- Once a player is released, he is permanently gone from your team. You cannot retract the waive.
- Once the release has been officially processed, the 28 other teams will have 24 hours to submit a bid on the player. The bid can be anywhere between the minimum salary, for however many years were left on the player's contract, and the player's full contract. If they are successful in claiming the player, they'll be responsible for paying the amount of their bid for however many years the player's contract lasts.
- Whichever team bids the highest amount gets the player. If multiple bids are tied for the highest amount, the team highest up on the Waiver Order will get the player.
- You must have roster space to claim a player. If the waiver period ends and your roster is full, the claim will be ignored.
- The average amount of your bid over the years remaining cannot be more than the cap room you have. If you have no cap room, you can only bid the minimum -- scaled just as any other minimum signing would be based on where we are in the season.
- You cannot retract a waiver claim.
- All bids that don't contain a dollar amount will be assumed to be for the minimum amount over 1 year.
- The team who waived the player will only be responsible for the salary left over after the winning bid is subtracted from the total salary.
- If the player goes unclaimed, he then becomes an unrestricted free agent at the date and time posted in the thread. You do not need to wait for me to close the thread for the waiver period to be completed.
- You cannot put in a waiver claim for a player that your team cut or traded away earlier in the season.
- If the player waived had bird years and is claimed, his bird years will automatically be reset to 1.
- If you claim a player off waivers, he will automatically go to your IR, assuming your roster already has 12 or more players.
Example: Kobe Bryant has a contract of $8,000,000 over the next two seasons. All bids must be between the minimum salary (one year) and $16,000,000.
