Things are improving in Indiana and the Pacers wish to extend the following offer to our PG Chucky Atkins, as an indication of our esteem at the consistent and patient way he has helped us get to this point: 

We offer 4 years/3.5M/6% with the final year of the contract at the Player's option should greener pastures elsewhere come to his attention.

Chucky appreciates the extension offer and is very keen on the idea of returning to the Indiana Pacers. However, given the current state of the market, this extension feels far too low for a guy who is one of the premier offensive point guards in the league. Derek Fisher, a PG who I think we could agree is not quite on Chucky's level, just got $46 million. If not for an offer in that range, we'll be happy to take this to restricted free agency.
