We would like to welcome you the Prestigious New York Knicks with an extension. We want you to be a major key to our franchise. We have Marbury, but every team needs that sixth man. We want you to be that for us. We’ve been after you for a few seasons now and we want to make you feel at home. Here is our offer: 3 years 3,750,000 per year 6 percent increase player option on the third season. FBB Agent: We appreciate your offer. Brevin views himself as a starter in TSFBL, and wants to both be played and payed as such. Given the construct of the Knicks' roster as it stands, there doesn't appear to really be an avenue for him to find that role for himself. Stephon Marbury averaged ~37 minutes per game last season, so locking in for 3 additional years to play 11 at a price point below starter money doesn't seem like the best business decision. Obviously, the Knicks will have the right to match any offer sheet in the off-season should they choose, so the door is still open for a better offer to come in on an extension. But in order for Brevin to commit to that, he'd need the Knicks to overpay his marker to make up for the lack of playing time. Decision: OFFER DECLINEDFeel free to counter below.
