Scuffle in Hornets' locker room following playoff exit
Following an embarrassing sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2000 TSFBL Playoffs, TMZ Sports has learned there was a major scuffle in the Hornets' locker room after Game 4. At the center of the altercation were their two star guards, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and Ray Allen. Rumors of a rift between the two have been brewing around Charlotte all season long, and finally boiled over after a series in which the Hornets' average margin of defeat in the four losses was 15 points.
This backcourt duo has played together in Charlotte for five seasons now, and even led the franchise to its first championship in 1998. However, the organization has made it clear throughout that it is, and always has been, Hardaway's team, tasking Allen to figure out how to complement the former MVP as a second fiddle.
