The Golden State Warriors are committed to winning a Championship. We have been very pleased with what Corey has been able to do for the team with his time here. We would like to continue for Corey to be one of the faces of our franchise as we continue to build a core around him. With the additions we have made so far this offseason we hope Corey understands our commitment to winning now, to emphasize this we would like to offer Corey a 5 year Max contract so that once his rookie deal expires he can not have to worry about negotiating and will have a deal set in place on a Championship caliber team, with him at the head as the number 1 scoring option.

FBB Agent: Thank you for your offer. After spending the early years of his career in Sacramento, Corey very much enjoyed being the piece that vaulted Golden State from mediocrity into Western Conference contention. He's more than open to re-upping with the Warriors on a long term extension and appreciates the maximum contract offer. He would like a player option at the end of the deal, which is in line with what other top players have been getting in extension offers.
