In conclusion, we hope that you will consider this offer and join us on this exciting journey towards the championship. We look forward to hearing back from you soon. Sincerely, .inf New York Knicks GM Dear Knicks Front Office, I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to discuss the contract extension offer for Kenyon Martin, as his agent, and address some of Kenyon's concerns. We appreciate the New York Knicks' interest in extending Kenyon's contract and the offer of an additional four years starting at $10,000,000 with 8% raises per year. However, Kenyon feels that his potential has not been fully realized due to inconsistent opportunities to showcase his talents within the team's offense. Kenyon firmly believes that, had he been in a different environment where he received more consistent opportunities at a young age, his development would have been expedited, resulting in a more substantial contract offer. While he respects the progress the Knicks have made and is open to re-signing with the team, Kenyon is seeking a role where he can be one of the team's top players without having to worry about the uncertainty of his offensive involvement from game to game. Kenyon's desire to be one of the team's key contributors and have a clear role in the offense stems from his ambitions to maximize his potential and establish himself as a top player in the league. He firmly believes in his abilities and feels that he can bring significant value to the team, but consistency and a defined role are crucial for him to showcase his skills and reach his full potential. While Kenyon is open to continuing his journey with the Knicks, he also is open to the possibility of restricted free agency to assess his market value and find a situation that aligns better with his aspirations. However, Kenyon is not dead set on playing it out in restricted free agency and is willing to consider a revised offer from the Knicks if it reflects his desired role and demonstrates the team's commitment to his growth and success. It is our belief that Kenyon's talent and potential warrant consideration as one of the team's top players as he approaches the end of his rookie contract. We understand the Knicks' perspective on contract negotiations and value discussions, but we hope that you will recognize the importance of fulfilling Kenyon's desire for a defined role and the potential he brings to the table. We appreciate your understanding and would welcome further discussions to find common ground that benefits both Kenyon and the New York Knicks. We believe that with the right opportunity and consistent role, Kenyon can thrive and contribute significantly to the team's success. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to further dialogue and reaching a mutually beneficial agreement. Sincerely, FBB Agent

We would like to up our offer from the previous 10 million to 11.25 million a year starting our Dear Knicks Organization, I hope this letter finds you well. As the agent for Kenyon Martin, I would like to begin by expressing our appreciation for the revised contract offer presented to Kenyon by the New York Knicks. It is evident that the organization recognizes his value and contributions to the team, and we are grateful for the ongoing negotiations. However, after carefully evaluating the revised offer, there still remains a disparity between the proposed terms and what Kenyon could potentially secure on the open market in restricted free agency. While we understand the desire for flexibility, we believe that a four-year maximum contract, consistent with the current market value, is a fair reflection of what Kenyon's skills could potentially garner on the open market. We acknowledge that the difference between the current offer and the four-year maximum contract is approximately $9,000,000 over four seasons. It is important to note that lesser players have received such contracts in recent years, highlighting the prevailing market trends. Kenyon's performance, dedication, and impact on the court have consistently demonstrated his worth as a valuable asset to the Knicks' roster. In light of these considerations, we kindly request that the Knicks reconsider their offer and explore the possibility of reaching the four-year maximum contract level. While we understand the desire for flexibility and the potential trade-offs associated with foregoing a player option, we believe that the long-term commitment and financial terms reflective of the market value are crucial for Kenyon's continued motivation and loyalty to the organization. We believe that Kenyon's skill set, leadership, and overall impact on the team warrant the investment of a maximum contract. This would not only serve as a fair compensation for his contributions but also solidify his future with the New York Knicks. We are confident that this revised offer would be mutually beneficial and reinforce the commitment between Kenyon and the organization. We appreciate your attention to this matter and kindly ask for a prompt response. Should you have any further questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. We value the ongoing dialogue and are hopeful for a positive resolution that aligns the parties' interests. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, FBB Agent

I understand Kenyon’s want for a max contract but that is something the Knicks management would prefer not to do. We feel our offer is fair and think other offers are teams overpaying. We think Kenyon is a big part of our team and we’re hoping he would help keep our core together by making a sacrifice.

We think Kenyon is a big part of our team and we’re hoping he would help keep our core together by making a sacrifice. A sacrifice for what? The team has been up-and-down in his three years in New York, and his role has waxed and waned as well. If $11,250,000 is your final offer and you can't reconcile the difference with what Kenyon is asking for, then he's willing to play it out. If you have a counter, please drop it below, but this is the last offer.
