Ricky has enjoyed his time so far in Los Angeles, specifically the opportunities that have been given to him as a starter and scoring option. He's very interested in re-upping with the Clippers. Given that he's currently making over $8,000,000, Ricky is a bit perturbed by an extension offer that is below his current contract; he was under the impression he had played pretty well so far as a Clipper. As a counter, Ricky would like to ask for a three-year deal starting at $8,500,000 -- slightly more than he's making right now. As a concession, Ricky will forego a third-year player option and annual raises. The difference in salary over the three years combined is less than $2,000,000 total, so surely this is not that big of an ask.
