We are pleased to extend this contract offer on behalf of the New York Knicks to have you continue as our Small Forward for the upcoming seasons. Your outstanding performance and leadership on the court have made a significant impact on our team, and we believe that your contributions are vital to our future success.



Contract Terms:



Duration: The contract will be for a period of two (2) years, commencing on the beginning of the 2007 and ending at the finish of the 2008 season.

Compensation: Compensation: You will receive a total compensation of thirty-two million dollars ($32,000,000) over the two-year period. The breakdown will be as follows:

First Year: Sixteen million dollars ($16,000,000)

Second Year: Seventeen  ($17,280,000), representing an 8% increase from the previous year.
Team Option: The contract will include a team option for the second year. The New York Knicks will have the discretion to exercise or decline this option, based on team performance, your individual performance, and other relevant factors.

Contractual Obligations:



Player Responsibilities: As a member of the New York Knicks, you will be expected to adhere to the team's code of conduct, attend all team practices and games, and actively participate in team activities and promotional events.

Performance Expectations: You are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism, work ethic, and commitment to the team's success. We anticipate that you will continue to contribute significantly on both ends of the court, providing leadership and setting an example for your teammates.

Thank you for your offer, but Grant Hill has no interest in singing a two-year extension with a team option potentially taking it down to one year. At 34 years old and still performing like a max-level player, this off-season will be Grant's last chance at a big free agency, and this offer isn't nearly good enough to pass that opportunity up. If you truly value Grant's services and want to lock him down, you'll have to do better than that.
