Since his acquisition three seasons ago, Shawn Marion has quickly become the face of Detroit Pistons basketball.
To show our appreciation and commitment to Mr. Marion, we would like to offer a 5 year max contract extension with annual raises of 8%, and a player option in the final season.

Yes, we’d like to offer the 4 year max extension. Our apologies. FBB Agent: While the Pistons can't offer a full max extension, 120% of his contract this year is close enough to the same four-year max (roughly $2.1 million dollars less in the aggregate) that he could earn on the open market. We'll agree to re-up on this now and enjoy the continuity given by the Pistons' organization. Verdict: OFFER ACCEPTED
Full Terms: 4 years, $73,061,988 ($16,308,480 starting value) with a player option in the fourth year. |
