Since I'm sure you read the rules, I know you know that the most you can offer in an extension to someone coming off a non-rookie contract is 120% of their current salary. Given that this number comes out less than the maximum that Marbury could make as a free agent, there's no reason for him to sign now; he'll be handling his business in the off-season.
