I am still working out how to make a declining offer that will work for both parties. In the event that we do not come back with a number for a counter proposal, we would like to leave on the table the below as we continue to figure out how the number and cap works for these negotiations: Years: 4 years Value: MLE Raises: 5% This offer is on the table to be accepted in case we cannot figure out how to get the declining contract to work before sim 1. “MLE” is not a valid contract offer, it’s an exception used by teams over the cap in the off-season. Please present an actual value.

We're not interested in taking a salary that declines so drastically and takes him under what we already established as what we want for the duration of the contract. I'll make this easier. 4 years, $6,250,000 per year, 0% increases. $25,000,000 total. As the season is about to start, we do need to wrap up negotiations here. Please let us know, but this is going to be a yes or no type of thing.
