Hello Stephen and representatives.
Congratulations on another great season for our team.
We are very happy our undefeated record in the last 10 days of the season, and we want to build on our success.
We apologise for trading you so all of a sudden. We hope you don't hold a grudge as we think it would have been a great opportunity for you to play on a good team. But it wasn't to be.
From our perspctive, we probably rushed into it and there is certainly a sense of regret and shame on our side.
We blame it on the lack of faith we had in our chances to win the title this year, and our eagerness to put our own stamp on the team.
But look now, suddenly two trades later we are right in the mix as with the 3rd best record in the league.
That gives us faith going forward.
We would like to know where you stand on playing for Indiana and if you want to talk about an extension.
If not, we are willing to discuss sign and trade scenarios at a maximum salary level for the next offseason.

FBB Agent: Based on the projected cap number for 2011, Stephen's player option for next season ($24,656,380) is more than a max extension would start at under the league rules. Thus, even if he wanted to extend now, he couldn't due to the extension rules dictating any starting offer must be at least as great as his player option. You can consider this matter closed until the off-season.
