The salary floor is a minimum amount all teams are required to spend each season, equal to 90% of the salary cap amount. The calculation of team salary does not include cap holds in regard to the salary floor.
Teams that begin the season below the salary floor cannot receive any league cash for that season, including the luxury tax distribution.
Waived salary will be added to the payroll of all teams below the salary floor.
