The Option Manifesto is back! I know this got mixed reviews in the last league, but I'm going to double down on it. With that said, a few things have been tweaked to allow more roster flexibility for you all.
#1 Option (4)
If the player scored 19 points per game or more last season, he automatically qualifies as a #1 option. If the player did not average at least 15 points per game last season, he is automatically disqualified. No need to keep reading. Otherwise, he must match one of the following:
- If the player has a A- (or better) INS grade, he qualifies as a #1 option
- If the player has a B+ (or better) INS grade and a B- (or better) OUT grade, he qualifies as a #1 option
- If the player has a B INS grade and a B (or better) OUT grade, he qualifies as a #1 option
- If the player has a B- INS grade and a B+ (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of B- or better, he qualifies as a #1 option
#2 Option (3)
If the player scored 15 points per game or more last season, he automatically qualifies as a #2 option. If the player did not average at least 10 points per game last season, he is automatically disqualified. No need to keep reading. Otherwise, he must match one of the following:
- If the player has a B+ (or better) INS grade, he qualifies as a #2 option
- If the player has a B INS grade, and a B- (or better) OUT grade, he qualifies as a #2 option
- If the player has a B- INS grade, and a B (or better) OUT grade, he qualifies as a #2 option
- If the player has a C+ INS grade, and a B+ (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C+ or better, he qualifies as a #2 option
- If the player has a C INS grade, and an A- (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C+ or better, he qualifies as a #2 option
#3 Option (2)
If the player scored 12 points per game or more last season, he automatically qualifies as a #3 option. If the player did not average at least 8 points per game last season, he is automatically disqualified. No need to keep reading.
- If the player has a B (or better) INS grade, he qualifies as a #3 option
- If the player has a B- INS grade, and a B- (or better) OUT grade, he qualifies as a #3 option
- If the player has a C+ INS grade, and a B (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C or better, he qualifies as a #3 option
- If the player has a C INS grade, and a B+ (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C or better, he qualifies as a #3 option
#4 Option (1)
Once again, there's a fourth category for players who fall just short of option qualification. If the player scored at least 10 points per game last season but did not meet the criteria for a #3 option, he's automatically a #4 option. Otherwise, he must match one of the following:
- If the player has a B- (or better) INS grade, he qualifies as a #4 option
- If the player has a C+ INS grade, and a B (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C- or better, he qualifies as a #4 option
- If the player has a C INS grade, and a B+ (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C- or better, he qualifies as a #4 option
- If the player has a C- INS grade, and a A- (or better) OUT grade, with a HAN grade of C- or better, he qualifies as a #4 option
Rookies
All first-round draft picks will automatically be given #4 option qualification as rookies, and all lottery picks will automatically be given #3 option qualification as rookies.. If a rookie is picked in the lottery and has projected peak grades that would qualify him as a #1 option is maximized, that qualification will be bumped up to a #2 option.
This should go without saying, but obviously your option players have to play.
