DeMar, we at the Golden State Warriors love you and would like you to remain a Warrior for a very long time. With that in mind, we would like to offer you a maximum 5 year contract extension, with 8% increases each year, and a player option in your final year. Please let us know your thoughts soon.

FBB Agent: Thanks for opening up the negotiations. After a massive leap in his third professional season, we feel DeMar has earned consideration for the super-max, which would equate to a 30% maximum contract if he manages to make an All-League team in 2012. If he didn't, it would default back to the contract you offered. He did not make it in 2011, so this could be seen as unlikely, but with another jump in production it's surely possible. With the projected cap figures for 2013, this would look like the following:
| 25% Max | 30% Super-Max | Year 1 | $16,798,750 | $20,158,500 | Year 2 | $18,142,650 | $21,771,180 | Year 3 | $19,486,550 | $23,383,860 | Year 4 | $20,830,450 | $24,996,540 | Year 5 (PO) | $22,174,350 | $26,609,220 | TOTAL | $97,432,750 | $116,919,300 |
Is this agreeable to you?
