The Detroit Pistons not turning up here means they made the jump, rounding out our top four. This means we already know that the #5 pick will belong to Phoenix. (11.42% chance of landing in this spot) Despite having the second-most lottery balls of the four teams remaining, the Bucks will slot in at pick #4. Given this exceeds their expected pick entering the lottery, I'm sure this is a welcome result. |

(1.26% chance of landing in this spot) The little engine that could has run out of steam, as the Hornets have landed in the #3 spot. Despite coming up just short, what a dream outcome for a team that finished just one game outside of the playoffs last season. The future certainly looks bright in Charlotte. |

(4.13% chance of landing in this spot) Another team far exceeding their expected draft slot, the Blazers will slot into #2 and have a plethora of options to choose from. With three promising prospects already in tow, Portland will have a great chance of filling out their roster this draft and leaping into contention. And that means... The 1st pick in the 1996 Rookie Draft belongs to:  The Detroit Pistons! (12.46% chance of landing in this spot) Winning the three-way tiebreaker was the difference between the #1 pick and either #4 or #7.
