The 2nd pick in the 1997 Rookie Draft belongs to:  The Golden State Warriors! (11.46% chance of landing in this spot) The two teams that finished 19-63 will end up in the top two spots. The tiebreaker settled between the two earlier today determined the order of the top two picks, and the top spot, ironically, went to the loser of it. Still, this is a very welcome outcome for a Warriors team that needs a lot of everything. And that means... The 1st pick in the 1997 Rookie Draft belongs to:  The Dallas Mavericks! (11.56% chance of landing in this spot) The Mavericks made the mid-season decision to trade star guard Darrell Armstrong, and it proved to be the right one.
