The 11th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Cleveland Cavaliers! (17.06% chance of landing in this spot) This means we have a jump! After a miserably disappointing regular season the Utah Jazz have jumped from the 11th lottery spot all the way into the top four picks.

The 10th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Denver Nuggets! (27.39% chance of landing in this spot) The Nuggets starting the season off strong, but faded back into the lottery as the season went along. After dealing away multiple future firsts, they'll have an emphasis on adding talent to the core immediately.

The 8th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Denver Nuggets, by way of the Toronto Raptors! (34.6% chance of landing in this spot) While no team should want to give up lottery picks (although maybe they do), the Raptors have at least dodged the bullet of giving up a pick that jumped into the top four.

The 7th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Boston Celtics! (31.99% chance of landing in this spot) The Celtics opted to trade away 1999 #1 overall pick Shawn Marion, and they'll take another crack at building a young core that includes the player they'll take at this pick.

The 6th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Washington Wizards! (19.78% chance of landing in this spot) After a few years of first-round exits in the playoffs, the Wizards bottomed out this season and will pick sixth overall. Outside of the Jazz, still no jumps so far.

The 5th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Orlando Magic! (7.34% chance of landing in this spot) Under new management this coming season, the Magic will have a top five pick to add to a depleted roster. This means the teams with the three worst records in the league -- Vancouver, New Jersey, and Houston -- will join Utah in the top four. Stay tuned to find out the order!

The 4th pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Houston Rockets! (12.02% chance of landing in this spot) The Rockets chose to trade away Michael Finley this season for a plethora of draft picks, and will begin the rebuild with Ron Artest as a cornerstone already in tow.

The 3rd pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The New Jersey Nets! (12.8% chance of landing in this spot) The Nets may still be a few years away from turning the corner in their rebuild, but another top ten pick will surely bolster their young core.

The 2nd pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Golden State Warriors, by way of the Utah Jazz! (2.21% chance of landing in this spot) The Warriors acquired this pick in a trade two seasons ago in a trade involving Jim Jackson and Keith Van Horn. From the Jazz's perspective, this is certainly another league example of the perils of trading away unprotected first round picks. For the Warriors, this is the chance at a player that can change the direction of their franchise -- something they certainly don't currently have. And this means.... The 1st pick in the 2001 Rookie Draft belongs to: The Vancouver Grizzlies! (14.07% chance of landing in this spot) After a brutal two year tank, the Grizzlies have landed the number one overall pick and will finally be able to pair Tracy McGrady with a quality player. They'll still be far away from contention, but the future is a lot brighter in Vancouver as a result of today's lottery.
