There will be a few alterations on how training camp is run from prior leagues:
TEEN BOOSTING
There will be no teen boosting in TSFBL III. All teenage players will be temporarily set to 20 years old before training camp is simmed, and they will be reverted back to their original age after the fact.
INSIDE SCORING
I've explained in the past that the Inside Scoring rating develops far less than most others, which led to me starting prospects at a very high rating as a draftee to combat that. In TSFBL III, I'm going to try to manually combat the flaw in FBB's development system. Once training camp is simmed, I'm going to drop all rookies by 10 Inside Scoring points, which will be returned to them after the season ends. I'll also drop all sophomores by 5 Inside Scoring points, which will similarly be returned. Since the ratings are being reset to their normal levels before training camp, development should not be impacted. I'm hoping this will allow rookies to not be quite as dominant at the start of their careers, and that they'll instead following a more realistic path of development.
TEMPORARY CHANGES
Either from the League Shop or from the Rumor Mill, players' ratings can be positively or negatively impacted over the course of the season. These ratings will all be reset prior to training camp to keep player development on track.
ZERO GAMES
If a player plays in zero games the previous season, he cannot gain any points in the following training camp. All ratings that go up will be reset to the previous season's value, while all losses will remain.
